Goodbye to Costakis and Vera Themistokleous - December 2016
On the 4th of December many of our compatriots gathered at the Greek Taverna in Broadstairs to say goodbye to Costakis and Vera Themistokleous.
Vera and Costakis have been members of the community since 1969 but are now emigrating back to Cyprus.
They have both been tremendous servants of the community and are highly respected. Costakis served as member of the church committee for many years, then as a president and later as a trustee. Vera worked with the Auxiliary committee and then as the president of the Greek school.
After a lovely meal at the restaurant, Mr Michael Papadopoullos thanked the couple for their service and contribution and presented them with a commemorative plaque on behalf of the community.
We wish them a very happy life back home!
